Catasha & Marlon- Highland Park Love

From the very first conversation I knew Catasha and Marlon's love was different. Our first time meeting during their engagement session totally confirmed it. The way he looks at her is so intense. The way she speaks to him with so much respect and care made my heart smile. It was an honor to marry them on our 8th wedding anniversary. Check out their love story below!

    Immediately!!!

Because my heart EXPLODED after I kissed her.

We love one another with no reservations. We laugh, and talk freely. We were made by God for one another.

I love her assertiveness, her confidence, and her GODLINESS.

When she gets quiet, i know she's upset, and it drives me crazy

  • How did the proposal happen?

We both came to the conclusion we didn't want to live without each other, so I proposed.

  • How did you meet?

Marlon and I met at my aunt Martha's wedding in Dallas, TX, July 29, 2017.

  • What did you first think of Marlon?

When I first saw him I thought he was nice and easy on the eyes.

  • How did you start dating?

Funny enough we began dating the night we met. It was love at first sight for me after spending quality time with him, but I was afraid to admit it.

  • How did you know that Marlon was the right one for you?

Marlon opened up to me the first time he met me, and I was like WOW, he is so transparent. After spending those few hours with him I knew in my heart that he was the man that I had been praying for.

  • How would you describe the dynamic of your relationship? How would others describe it?

It is exciting, to say the least. We are each other's best friend, homie, prayer partner, and most of all he is my covering. We are very in sync with each other. Others have stated to us that they love the love we have for one another.

  • Tell me three things you love about Marlon:

Only three...I love the way he looks at me, his thoughtfulness and the way he protects me. One more...he is oh so fine!!!

  • What are some of Marlon's quirks? What are things about Marlon that drives you a little crazy — things that only you could love.

Oh my goodness!! Marlon is all over the place (ADHD undiagnosed). He absolutely cannot sit still, but the drive in him is what makes me love him and have the utmost respect for how hard he goes after his dreams and goals.

  • How did the proposal happen?

Did he actually propose?????? I think I'll let him answer that one LOL

  • Name three memorable experiences you’ve been through together as a couple.

We watched Marlon's dream come true as a writer. A director read his script and want to start film production. Scary, but memorable is the health scare we went through with Marlon...I couldn't fathom what I would have done had I lost him.

  • What values are important to you as a couple?

Being led and fed by the holy spirit. Promise never to go to bed angry or not say I love you. Remaining each other's best friend.

  • Where do you see yourselves in five years? What are you most looking forward to in your future as a couple?

My prayer is that Marlon and I have established our business in film and mentoring you ladies. I look forward to us growing old together and enjoying or life together.

  • If you were reading this blog post in twenty years, what would you want to remember about your life right now?

Remember how in love we were then and how much we are more in love now.
